Target Uses the ‘F’ Word
>> 10.15.2009
Yes, they said it: frugal. Check out what I received in the mail yesterday:
The recession might cause of much of the stress in my life, it’s refreshing to finally be in a place in time where I can be loud and proud about my frugal spending habits. Have you noticed how even the wealthiest fashionistas will brag about saving on their designer purses and shoes? I think I might actually be on-trend with this one!
Oh, and speaking of frugal, check out Almost Frugal today! Kelly featured me in her frugality series (I answered her questions a while back, so some of the things I said might be a little out of date).

Haha awesome post title - I totally thought you meant the other f-word at first! But I agree - I love when already affordable stores become even more affordable. IKEA just dropped prices on a ton of things from last year - so I went out and got an awesome scrolly metal bed frame for $79 (our local store was having an additional sale, so I saved an extra $20). Hooray!
Gotta love Tarjay!
Target rocks! :)
I hear you on this one. I too finally feel like I am with it and hip with the recession spurred spend-less-movement. But, I wasn't expecting Tarjay to actually use the "F" word in their advertising. It's about time the "F" word had positive connotations!
A lot of stores are skewing their advertising toward more frugal consumers. I have local stores touting "recession-buster" packages and specials.
i'm gonna make my own site about it
